New Article

I've had this article almost completed for my site for a couple of weeks, but have been so busy I forgot about it. Titled Why Send My Child to Woodstock School?, it may be of interest even though everyone here has obviously already made that decision. I'd be curious to know why, though...

I hope it is ok for us to show others your article. We have friends in our community that can't imagine why we would send our daughter off to India to school. At least you have been there!! However in our case it was more her idea than ours. If you spend a few minutes talking with her she will convince you that this is just something she needs to do. I can not tell you why she is going, she would have to tell you, it is her passion and her story. She first heard about the school while she was in junior high and at that point became interested and has been planning to go since then.
It is interesting that each student has found their own path to Woodstock. I too would be interested to know why would you send your child away to boarding school in India...

Yes, feel free to share it - it's on my site so lots of people have seen it already. How did your daughter hear about WS?

She heard about it from her Aunt and Uncle. They taught there about 35 years ago. Then their son went there about 15 years ago, for his gap year. He was talking about his experience at a family dinner, and from then on she was sure that is what she needed to do.That was almost 4 years ago. She has had much encouragement from her Aunt and Uncle, Jim and Beth Styer. Perhaps you knew of them?

Their names are familiar, perhaps some of my classmates who were at WS since elementary school knew them. I only arrived in 9th grade, in 1977.
